A sports lesson you can apply to solopreneurship
it'll save you time and money

This weekend, both my son and I learned an important lesson.
My son plays on a competitive lacrosse team and this weekend they played at a tournament at Texas A&M.
It’s a rough sport, so naturally, my son has some anxiety while he’s out on the field. Doesn’t want to get popped (at this age, if one kid is a almost a year older it can make a HUGE difference in size).
He has all of the physical skills, but the mental part has been holding him back.
I’ve been frustrated with him because I thought it was more of lack of awareness / field IQ (i.e., being at the right place at the right time, etc.).
I misjudged the problem.
He’s holding back due to fear.
Once I realized this on Saturday, I made a few suggestions and he played much better on Sunday (nearly scored in the Championship game).
Now he wants to watch film…he seems interested to get better.
This is similar to what I see in my 9-5 and the solo business world…misdiagnosing problems, frustration at the wrong problems, being scared to do something.
As a solopreneur, you must get a deep understanding of your prospect’s problems.
Without it, well, you’ll be chasing the wrong problem, wasting your time and money.
If you need help with this, reply to this email with your current frustration in your solo biz and I’ll see if I can help you work through it.
Have a great Monday and look forward to hearing from you.
