It’s something I’m currently helping 2 aspiring solopreneurs with who want to build solo businesses.
They both have great experience in their field.
One has an excellent product.
Problem is, the one with an excellent product has made minimal sales and the other hasn’t made a dime.
After talking with each of them, I went back to the basics to check for the key linchpin I’m referring to and…for both of them, it wasn’t there. Little to no sales.
Most people don’t spend the time to think through it and will just build a shiny object (that nobody wants).
The beauty is, when you get pragmatic and ruthless about it, everything else gets easier. Literally everything. Content, products, emails, DMs.
You’re wasting your time (and likely, money) running around with a hammer looking for a nail.
Instead, figure out what you’re building, for who and why (I had to drop in my thread I just posted, it was timely):

**Trying to figure out a problem to solve.** No amount of ChatGPT prompting will isolate the problem that your services/offer can solve. You discover a problem to solve when it’s revealed to you. Find the signal through the noise (emails, engagement, calls, etc.).

**Overthinking** When you’re stuck in your head, you get nowhere. Start writing about your interests. Send a message to someone to start a convo. Create a simple Stripe payment link and attach it to your calendly. When people ask for help, send them your link.
