The most important thing I've learned as a solopreneur
I believe any 9-5er with marketable skills can create a semi-automated, sustainable solo business to get Time Freedom.
To help…in this email, you’ll learn what I do to make my content, emails and offers work together and why it’s important.
So let’s dive in:
1/ First, I start with identifying my ideal client’s challenges because without it, my business sucks.
When I get engagement on my X posts, it’s an opportunity for me to learn more about where people need help, so I ask questions (and no I don’t disguise a sales pitch in there like the Gen-Z Twitter Bois)
When I get email replies, it’s because I’m asking what I can help with or I’ve struck an emotional chord.
When I drop an offer I tie it to the challenge where I’ve got the most data.
This is all an effort to:
- figure out what people are REALLY struggling with (not be a surface-level generalist)
- actually help people (not be a DM 10k/mo boi)
You tryna make 10k/mo, bro? Bro you there??
2/ Next I make my content appropriate for the right stage in the process:
Social media is top of funnel and shortest attention span.
Email is middle of funnel and slightly longer attention span.
Offer page is bottom of funnel and has the longest attention span (assuming you’ve targeted the right folks).
Based on attention span, I right-size my content.
Nobody is dropping offers on their X timeline and making money…it’s important to put the right LENGTH and STYLE of content in the right spot.
3/ I stick to a Solopreneur Sales Copilot™ theme per week to force myself to audit my content, emails and offers to make sure that it ties together.
Otherwise you confuse people.
You talk about something on social media, but then your email was about something different…and now I’m supposed to buy something else over here?
The pieces all have to tie together.
If they don’t, people won’t buy.
TLDR:
The Solopreneur Sales Engine™ works better when you:
-
Rally around your client’s challenges
-
Place appropriate content in appropriate stage
-
Stick to a theme and audit
Next week I’m hosting a 45 minute solopreneur workshop and you should join.
You’ll learn and steal the 4 strategies I use to attract my ideal clients.
