💵 yoga teacher reinforced a core business concept (no woo-woo stuff)
Yoga is keeping me sane right now.
Over the past 10 years, I’ll do it off and on for a few weeks, then get distracted and stop doing it after a while.
I think this time may be different for 1 small (but super important) reason.
I was exhausted last night, ready to faceplant onto my bed and slip into a coma for 7 hours or so.
BUT, I mustered up the energy to roll out the yoga mat, get 2 blocks and open the Youtube app on my phone.
Normally, my tendency is to cave in, go to bed and rest up.
Here’s the important part:
The reason I keep coming back to do yoga is because the yoga teacher is a guy like me (except he’s actually flexible).
His yoga is for men ONLY.
He acknowledges that most yoga instructors are these thin, super flexible females…and that men just simply aren’t built that way and can’t do the poses like they can.
He tailors the yoga positions so that they accommodate and target the things that men can do, not some 20-something flexible female.
I felt like he was talking right at me (I’m 39).
This is what keeps me coming back.
The same concept applies to building your solo business.
When you narrow your focus to your ideal client (even slightly), your content starts to speak directly to them…and you keep them hooked.
Using tools like XPro can help you do this very effectively. If you’d like to work together to isolate your ideal client so they’re hooked and keep coming back, simply reply to this email.
For LinkedIn, I use Sales Navigator but still very much figuring things out. More to come as things progress.
Hope this helps.
To your solopreneur success,
Matt Barron
