an example of how I automate pieces of my solo business
I enjoyed writing it anyway
Hello {{ subscriber.first_name | strip | default: “there” }},
Ever wondered how I manage to build a solo business while working a 9-5 and dealing with 4 kids (somebody LITERALLY always needs something)?
If not, feel free to mark as read and move on…if interested, keep going because it gets juicier.
It’s all about leveraging simple systems and automation.
Let me give you a peek into my world.
First, I focus on mapping out the end-to-end client journey…then here’s the key:
I START WITH THE END IN MIND
What is my client’s end goal?
Then how can I make my end goal match my client’s end goal?
Here’s an example: if my client wants time freedom and wants to build it through growing his socials and email list, I’ll map that back to my service offerings and build that client journey between start to finish.
My end goal is that my client ends up in my Solopreneur Copilot program, but the likelihood of joining it right out of the gate is low.
So, first he will likely enter my email list through one of my lead magnets, which will then sign him up for my emails.
After the lead magnet, he will be automatically be presented with a time-expiring DIY offer.
If that purchase is made, he will be auto-tagged in ConvertKit as someone who has purchased that product, which will then trigger an onboarding sequence to ensure product adoption and good client experience.
Once that sequence runs, this person will be a prime candidate for a consulting call, which at that point, I will personally reach out.
In the future, I will automate this.
After a consulting call the next logical step would be to join the Solopreneur Copilot program.
This may sound complicated, but it’s nothing more than ConvertKit, Carrd and Hypefury.
If you’re curious about implementing these systems in your own business, let’s reply back and we’ll work together to get it set up or I’ll do it for you.
To your solopreneur success,
Matt Barron
