đź’µ close larger deals with better clients

Below is a tidbit of crucial advice that’ll help you close larger deals with higher-paying clients.

First, you have to understand something critical:

People are finicky and selfish.

They want what they want.

And if you can’t help them get there, you’ll get cast aside quicker than being J-Lo’s husband.

To get a premium price for your services, you have to make your prospect feel understood, demonstrate your thoroughness and tie your work back to their objectives.

Nothing else matters.

They most likely don’t personally care about you much.

It’s true.

You may get a few pleasantries but when you’re working with people who know what they want, you are best served to listen carefully and propose tailored.

Figure out what your base offer is, but don’t be so attached to your standard offer that you aren’t flexible.

Why?

You know that you need to hold the line on scope creep (you know, when you end up doing work for free that you shouldn’t have).

Set expectations appropriately but what if based off what you’ve heard, you now found a way to demand a higher price for your services or found a new up-sell opportunity.

Let’s say you’re an email marketer and you’re offering to write an email welcome sequence and 2-3 emails a week for your clients.

What if you heard from your client that they were having challenges with launching a digital product or growing their email list?

Assuming that you have experience launching a digital product or have expertise in growing an email list, you can now add those as additional services on top of the existing offer you put together.

Keep your eyes and ears open - there’s opportunities everywhere.

My favorite way to close a client is to tie each of their requests back to a service I provide and write down how that service will get them to where they want to go.

Simple as that.

It’s cohesive, thoughtful and demonstrates my competence.

REMINDER: my dirt cheap offer to help you define and launch your service offer is on the table. I have availability for 2 more - are you one of them?

If so, reply “JLO” and we’ll chat about it.
