đź’µ I think this will resonate

It can feel like that on many days.

9-5:

Your 9-5 can be overwhelming. Teams messages, calls, emails, work travel…quite literally can drive you crazy.

Hard thing too is that the economy is teetering a bit.

Technology is enabling CFOs to pressure their business leaders to trim the fat.

So you feel like you have to work hard consistently to keep that job.

Side hustle:

Then you realize, man, I don’t want this job to define me, so you start looking at ways to create leverage.

“How can I build my own thing so I don’t have to deal with all this corporate crap?”

This opens up a whole new world.

One that is equally exciting but also really confusing (and full of fakery too).

So you want to carve out and dedicate time to work on this but it’s challenging to manage it because you don’t know where to start and you don’t really see any ROI initially.

Family / kids:

Throw family and kids into the mix and kapoof! any sort of free time you have is gone.

Now, that’s not a bad thing…spending time with family and kids is a good thing and I hope that you think that as well.

But I want to highlight the sheer amount of time that gets pulled into this category.

Health:

Well you can’t just sit a desk all day, stressed out, run from activity to activity, eat like crap, get no exercise and not sleep enough.

That’s a recipe for an early death, my friends.

SO HOW DO YOU MAKE IT ALL WORK?

I’ll be the first to tell you that I don’t have it figured out (and anyone that tells you this is a lying MFer).

But what I will tell you is that I do work hard to make sure that each one of these buckets is filled in some way each day.

If you’d like to learn more about how I specifically balance my 9-5 and solo business, simply reply “balance”.

I’d also like to hear about how you do it, or if this email simply resonated with you, I’d love to see your reply.

Alright, I have 25 minutes until getting my kids ready school, time to buckle up.

To your solopreneur success,

Matt Barron
