💵 easiest way to test if someone will pay to solve a problem
The beauty of hypotheticals:
You can create whatever frame or scenario in your mind, explain that clearly to someone and gather information.
For example, if you’re looking to isolate a challenging, painful and expensive problem for your ideal client, after asking some questions to better understand the issue, you may ask something like:
“If there was a solution out there to help fix this issue, would you be willing to pay for it?”
The beauty of this is that you don’t even have to know what the solution is, or have anything ready.
You’re creating an environment in your head and theirs that if a solution were to exist, would they be willing to trade dollars for it.
This is the easiest way to figure out if what you’re thinking about building is worth your time.
You’re validating client demand and willingness to pay.
I’d highly recommend you incorporate a systematic way to gather intel along the way as well.
