3 steps to finding a problem to solve
Read Time: 4m
The top voted challenge in my recent poll was “Finding a Problem to Solve”:
#1 voted challenge in the poll I ran recently
What I’ve found is that nobody knows to the gnat’s-ass detail the exact problem they can solve for others.
If you did, you’d already have a thriving business because you’ve isolated it and have an offer to address it.
Same applies to me, I have a client right now, but I’m still figuring out what this all means as part of the bigger problem I’m looking to solve which is:
I believe that solopreneur sales can be nearly automated.
You enter content here, it flows through a process to attract your ideal clients, who join your email list, who are then presented with offers that meet their needs and they end up purchasing.
I don’t believe you have to constantly trade time for money.
And I also believe that the whole process of becoming a solopreneur can be accelerated.
I’m at maybe 15% to my goal because I have service client (trading time for money) and have sold digital products in the footer below…but everything is still fairly manual.
Anyway, back to identifying a problem to solve…what I’ve found is:
- Write about what you enjoy and find interesting (I think all facets of Solopreneur Sales is fascinating)
- See what type of content gets people asking you things about in your DMs or comments (this is how I got my first client)
- Have a conversation with those folks to uncover their challenges
Here are the problems I uncovered with my first client:
This is screenshot from my proposal
I’ve now found my second client as a result of my first.
So, keep uncovering your own path, there’s no silver bullet.
If you need help landing your first client, I have a process that l use to make it nearly impossible for your prospect to say no. If you’d like to apply it to you business, schedule 30 minutes with me here.
Cheers to Accelerating your Solopreneur Sales!
